In the recent weeks of May, Sacred Heart Academy has had the honor of celebrating the achievements of the class of 2025. The festivities have wound down into this past week, Senior Week, where the seniors were truly the center of attention, and they were able to have their last fun activities as a class and as SHA girls.
Monday was one of the final days of true classes for the SHA seniors, where they were able to finish the last of their high school classes, and have the opportunity to say goodbye to the many teachers who have impacted their lives. Tuesday was senior skip day, where the class of 2025 skipped classes for the day and used their time to go out with friends and truly be with their classmates before their graduation. Many of the girls spent their day out with their friends and later gathered to start decorating their uniforms for their final party on Friday. On Wednesday morning, the seniors gathered in the courtyard to celebrate their senior breakfast. Due to beautiful weather, all seniors gathered outside in their college decision shirts to take pictures of their achievements and to display their hard work. They then enjoyed refreshments as a class at their senior breakfast, celebrating their admissions to the colleges they have dreamed of attending. On Friday morning, as part of a SHA senior tradition, many of the seniors gathered in the Hamden plaza at 6:30 A.M. to take pictures of their final day as Sacred Heart Academy Students. They then drove to the mount to greet the underclassmen arriving to campus at 7:00 A.M. Equipped with their signs, enthusiasm, and cheer, the class of 2025 greeted each car driving in with their music and cheering and were able to be celebrated by the parents dropping their children off as they drove up the driveway. The seniors then gathered inside in the cafeteria to have their final breakfast as a class first period. Before the bell, the seniors had their final run around SHA as they cheered, waved flags of their soon-to-be colleges, rode Razor scooters, and were applauded and honored by their underclassmen. After their run, seniors gathered in the café for their final break, where they were able to say goodbye to all those who have impacted not only their experience at SHA, but also had a great impact on their lives. Everyone gathered around to witness the final dismissal of the class of 2025, a bittersweet experience of both tears of joy, and tears of sorrow.
Congratulations to the class of 2025 for all of their achievements. These seniors were truly a special group of talented young women, who have left a lasting impact on the Sacred Heart Academy community. From sports achievements, theatre and musical performances, community service, singing and participating in the orchestra, and academic performance, the class of 2025 was truly a group of excelsior young women, and the epitome of what it means to be a SHA girl.
