After the incredibly successful Generous hearts Campaign this year, I thought it was best to interview Miss. Christina Alt whose close connection to the campaign has given her a deeper perspective on what Generous Hearts truly stands for and what it means for current SHA girls and alums.
What inspired the Generous Hearts Campaign?
“The Generous Hearts campaign was inspired by the spirit of love, gratitude, and community that defines Sacred Heart Academy. Held in February, it aligns with the themes of giving and generosity, encouraging alumnae, students, parents, and supporters to come together in support of SHA’s mission.”
How many years has it been running?
“Generous Hearts has been running for a few years now, growing each year in participation and impact.”
What is your favorite part about the campaign?
“Seeing alumnae and students come together to give back to a school they deeply believe in is the most rewarding part. Their generosity and shared commitment to SHA’s future make this campaign truly special.”
Where do the proceeds go?
“All proceeds support the Annual Fund, ensuring that SHA can continue providing the true Excelsior experience for our current students and generations to come.”
What is one important thing for SHA girls and SHA alumnae to understand about the campaign?
“It’s essential to recognize that giving back isn’t just about donations—it’s about reinforcing our Strongbonds. Every contribution strengthens our lifelong connection to Sacred Heart Academy.”
Even during the school day, students were encouraged to donate by class as a friendly competition and sign the front doors of the school. In doing so, students demonstrated their connections with each other, but also participated in giving back to SHA for all the experiences and memories that will shape them for a lifetime.
