Fall Sports at SHA

Fall sports at Sacred Heart Academy are in the middle of their seasons and doing great! Here at SHA, we have a plethora of sports competing in the fall season including soccer, field hockey, swimming and diving, cross country, and volleyball! The field hockey and volleyball groups have three different teams, Varsity, JV, and Freshman. Soccer is limited to just Varsity and JV, and cross country has only Varsity.

Field hockey has been doing very well so far this year, with a 4-1-2 record. Bella Saracco, Maya Boyhen, and Kameryn Parlee have all contributed to the team in their own way by producing goals. Soccer has gone undefeated, having won 7 games, and tied 2. Their goal-producing players have been Jillian Sansone, Ella Guth, and Adrina Tuozzoli. Ava King and Kyla King are doing a great job at the net. Volleyball is doing a great job too. They currently have a 4-3 record and are 4 wins away from making the state tournament.

The swimmers at SHA have been working hard in the pool. Some of their heat winners so far this season have been Julia Cana, Christina Ponzio, and Emerson Forbes. Cross country has also been doing a great job on the track. Their biggest accomplishment so far this season is having won the SCC Quinnipiac Division Meet on Saturday, October 2nd!

The SHArks of Sacred Heart have been doing amazing so far this fall, with a combined team-sport record of 15-4-4! Good luck to all athletes as the season continues to advance!
