Results from School-Wide Survey (By the Time You’re a Senior …)

This edition’s survey was a fun one themed “By the Time You’re a Senior.” It was meant to be a nice way to reflect back on the past four years (if you’re a current senior) or to make predictions about your future years at SHA (if you’re an underclassman). Here’s a breakdown of how the student body responded to each of the questions:

Question 1: Most popular answer was “Bittersweet to leave good memories and people but ready for a new chapter” at 45%

45% Bittersweet to leave good memories and people but ready for a new chapter; 40% Excited to finally move on to college and experience new things; 10% Glad to leave but apprehensive about the future; 5% Sad that I’ll have to leave behind SHA and all my friends here

Question 2: Most popular answer was “Maybe once or twice (accidents happen)” at 41%

41% Maybe once or twice (accidents happen); 35% Not once (I take good care of my computer … kinda); 16% Between three and five times (so lots of mistakes happen); 4% More than five times (I’ve had some real bad luck with my laptop); 2% Too many times to count (I never should’ve been trusted with a computer); 0% More than ten times (Okay, so I have a couple reckless tendencies)

Question 3: Most popular answer was “I’ll try to keep it together senior year (try being the key word” at 39%

Question 4: Most popular answer was “None (I’m an upstanding student)” at 67%

Question 5: Most popular answer was “Maybe two or three dollars (I like comfort when it’s cheap) at 50%

Question 6:Most popular answer was “My friends” at 59%

Question 7: Most popular answer was “Sophomore” at 58%

58% Sophomore; 22% Junior, 17% Senior, 3% Freshmen

Question 8: Most popular answer was “Sports teams” at 47%

47% Sports team; 19% Club/student organization; 11% SHAmusical; 11% Hardcore academics; 7% Campus ministry/volunteering; 5% School dances

Question 9: Most popular answer was “Probably not, I wouldn’t be surprised if it changed” at 54%

54% Probably not, I wouldn’t be surprised if it changed; 46% Yes, besties for life

Question 10: Most popular answer was “Mostly the same with some major changes (I have room for improvement)” at 38%
